HOT WHEELS 4 Set PORSCHE 1971 LeMans 24 Hrs Custom MARTINI 917, Pink Pig +GULF

THIS CUSTOM BOX SET is a custom re-package of the various PORSCHE TEAM cars from the grid at the 1970 24 HOURS OF LEMANS with four PORSCHE cars AS SHOWN. INCLUDES THE GREAT CARS as shown WITH THE PORSCHE 917 Lh and 917K in my new CUSTOM REPACKAGE display diorama for my PREMIUM Lemans SERIES all new and re-installed in the nice box. The 1971 LeMans 24 Hours grid includes the following cars. The #23 PORSCHE "PinkPig", so named as the Joest team subdivided the oversized body with meat name portions suggesting that it resembled a fat pork animal; this Diecast is produced by Majorette, and it is based on the standard 917K body which is not exactly as the Pink Pig body appeared; it is a close representation of the body color decorations as it raced. The #21 custom painted and decaled MARTINI Porsche 917Lh in the SILVER colors as driven by Vic Elford and Gerard Larousse; Elford qualified the car five seconds faster than his 1970 pole time to place it second on the starting grid. The #17 GULF PORSCHE 917 as driven by. Brian Redman and Jo Siffert, (DNF); this car has some small paint blemishes missing on the left side above the door; car has real riders wheels and tires. The #18 GULF PORSCHE as driven by Jackie Oliver and Pedro Rodriguez. Rodriguez qualified on the pole position. The car has the standard plastic wheels and tires as issued by Hot Wheels.

The #21 Martini car is a custom painted and decaled Porsche 917. To my knowledge this car has never been produced in the hot wheels scale so this is a very rare custom made car. All of These Porsches were NEW AND REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE AND Resecured IN THE BOX. Each can be removed for alternate display.
